COURSES - CPR and First Aid
CPR, otherwise known as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a series of life saving skills taught to both the general public and medical professionals. We offer CPR training in all areas: infant, child, adult, childcare provider and healthcare provider. We offer combination classes that combine other areas, such as first aid, AED or child safety in conjuction with CPR. We offer first time training and refresher courses. Course length and cost depends on which of our classes you select. All CPR courses follow the American Heart Association standards. The Heartsaver® CPR Course is designed to teach CPR, relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO), and use of an AED to all lay rescuers, particularly those who are expected to respond to emergencies in the workplace. This course includes diverse learning opportunites, including a videotaped persentation, instructor-led discussion, videotaped skills and demonstration practise, instructory-led practice scenarios, and peer practice session.

HEARTSAVER® FIRST AID - CPR/AED OPTIONAL
The Heartsaver® First Aid Course was designed for individules requiring a First Aid certification for their employment. Others may take this course as part of their employers effort to comply with OSHA regulations. Individuals may also wish to take this course not as a job requirement, but for their own personal knowledge. This course was designed for the layperson rather than medical professionals. The course includes information on such topics as: General Principles, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies. CPR and AED are elective but highly recommended. PEDIATRIC FIRST AID (CPR OPTIONAL)
This course was designed for those who work with or care for children. The course includes both CPR and First Aid, as well as, added section on dealing with emergencies in the childcare setting. This course is approved by The Emergency Medical Services Authority of California, and meets the necessary requirements for Childcare Providers. If you are a childcare provider, you may be eligible for reimbursement of the course fees through Family Resourse and Referral. Ask us for details or contact Family Resource and Referral.
Fee: $40/person for First Aid only

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials as an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.

If you cancel 7 days or less, or you do not show up to the course, you are not eligible for a refund, but may transfer to another course one time only which must be approved by a LFTC staff member.
