FREE Classes, Workshops and Events

It is the goal of Life First Training Center to provide the most affordable health and safety training options that we can. We hope to increase the knowledge and skills of our communities in an effort to assist others in leading healthier, happier and safer lives. As part of this effort, we have kept our training rates much lower than surrounding providers. We include everything in our course rates with no hidden charges. Lastly, as part of this effort we offer many training classes, workshops and events completely FREE of charge. Workshops are held at our training locations in Stockton and Yucaipa. Please see these opportunities below.


Children ages 5-10yrs are invited to attend this fun and informative introduction to First Aid. Participants will learn a variety of basic First Aid techniques and the importance of staying calm and calling 911. Children can bring their favorite stuffed animal to practice with.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS CPR (Teens and adults welcome)

Family and Friends CPR is an information only course. Participants do not receive a certification card as part of this course. The training is for personal knowledge only. If you require CPR training as part of your employment or schooling requirements, please see our courses page for CPR certification course options. Participants do receive a course textbook.

Life First Training Center has taught over 6000 children ages 8-18yrs CPR to date. Some of these children have actually used their training in real life situations. CPR for Kids is an age appropriate course that teaches CPR, relief of choking and how to use an AED. We can also bring CPR for Kids to your school or home for groups of 5 or more children.

An estimated 50 million Americans suffer from all types of allergies (1 in 5 Americans) including indoor/outdoor, food & drug, latex, insect, skin and eye allergies. Allergy prevalence overall has been increasing since the early 1980s across all ages, sex and racial groups. Severe allergic reactions can result in trouble breathing and even death. In this course, you will learn about different types of allergies, presentation for both mild and severe reactions, treatment options including the use of an epi-pen, and how to rapidly assess and treat someone having an allergic reaction. If you or someone you care for suffers from severe allergies, this course is a must for you.

ABUSE AND ABDUCTION PREVENTION FOR KIDS (Kids ages 6-10 years old welcome)

Children ages 6-10 years are highly encouraged to attend this very important workshop. Children will learn life saving information on the topics of abuse and abduction prevention, including stranger danger, being aware of "groomers" and the importance of saying no to uncomfortable and/or inappropriate situations, techniques for preventing and escaping dangerous situations and much more. Course content is age appropriate and kid friendly. Parents are welcome to stay and observe.

LITTLE RESCUERS (Kids ages 8-12 years old welcome)

Children ages 8-12 years are invited to take place in this fun and informative course. This course teaches children about common emergencies and what they can do to help. There is a strong emphasis on remaining calm and calling 911. Children are taught some basic first aid skills and hands only CPR. They are also able to see real equipment from the ambulance and meet real EMTs/Paramedics as part of the course. This course offers a fun but informative way to prepare children for emergency situations.

CHILDREN'S STORY-ART (Kids ages 4-7 years old welcome)

Children ages 4-7 years are invited to join us for an evening of fun. We will begin by gathering around for story time. Following the story, children will be assisted in completing an art project that relates to the story they just heard.

TEACHING TEENS ABOUT MONEY (Teens 14-17 years old welcome)

Teens ages 14-17 years are encouraged to attend this informative class. Participants will learn about the importance of being "money smart". Course topics including money management, checking and savings accounts, credit card caution, credit score awareness, preparing for the future and more.

GETTING A JOB PREPARATION TRAINING  (Teens and adults welcome)

With hard economic times and fewer jobs available, getting a job in today's market can be a difficult task. This workshop will teach you the skills on how to set yourself apart from other applicants and become the strongest job candidate you can be. The course will include such topics as techniques for writing resumes and cover letters that catch employers attention, giving a top notch interview and more.

HEALTHY KIDS FOR LIFE (Kids ages 8-13 years old welcome)

This course aims at teaching children the importance of healthy eating, portion control and exercise. Did you know that over 17% of the children in America are considered obese! We will not only teach children about the importance of making healthy choices, but we also educate them on how the choices they make can impact them for the rest of their lives. We teach the "Big Picture". We accomplish this through comprehensive training presented in an engaging and child appropriate manner. The Healthy Kids for Life program uses a variety of learning techniques, including instructor-led presentation, video instruction, interactive instruction and games.

Parent and Child Bingo Night (Adults and kids over 5 years old welcome)

Adults and children over age 5 are invited to a fun night of Bingo at the Training Center. The theme of this evening will be health and nutrition. There will be snacks and prizes given! This is a great way for adults and children to spend an evening together while children learn the importance of making healthy choices in their life.
