Option 1: Blended Learning (Online Course with Skills Testing aka BLS Heartcode)

Anchor 1

The Blended Learning option is a great choice for completing your training with significantly less in-person class time! It is available for both renewal and initial certification, and results in the same certification ecard as a fully in-person class.

For this option, students would complete their training in three steps. First, you would purchase the BLS for Healthcare Provider Hybrid Course here. You will be emailed your online course and skills test information within 72 hours of placing your order. If you do not receive an email within 72 hours, please contact us.

The second step is to complete the informational portion of your training online. You will be emailed a link to your online class and instructions for getting started. HeartCode BLS uses the latest eSimulation technology to enable students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities, this course teaches BLS knowledge and skills. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Note, you will need to use a laptop or desktop computer to complete this portion of the course. The online course time varies student to student, but takes about 2 hrs on average to complete.

The final step is to complete your skills testing session. Upon purchase of a hybrid class, you will be emailed skills testing details and we will assist you in scheduling a skills testing appointment. We have a variety of appointments available, please contact us for details. Skills testing can also be scheduled around your availability. Skills testing can be conducted virtually (with picking up the necessary equipment at our facility) or in-person. Please contact us for further details regarding skills testing options.

Fees for Blended Learning Course: $35 for class materials (online course, ecard, and other skills test materials) and $50 for skills testing during prescheduled dates for a Total of $85

Scheduling: Skills testing is scheduled on evenings and weekends around your availability after the online course has been purchased.
