Heartsaver First Aid and/or CPR/AED

The Heartsaver® First Aid and CPR/AED Class was designed for individuals requiring a First Aid and/or CPR/AED certification for their employment. Others may take this course as part of their employers effort to comply with OSHA regulations. Individuals may also wish to take this course not as a job requirement, but for their own personal knowledge. This course was designed for the layperson rather than medical professionals. You can also choose to take CPR/AED only or First Aid only, per your individual requirements. The course includes information on such topics as: General Principles, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies, as well as CPR for all ages and AED training.

Life First Training Center offers three different training options for completing your Heartsaver First Aid and/or CPR certification. Please select an option to skip to that section of this page, or simply scroll to view all options available to you:

Important Note: At this time, we are only offering hybrid courses (option 1) and private group courses (option 3). This is to reduce in-person class time during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you

Select here for Option 3, private in-person classes:

Option 1: Blended Learning (Online Course with Skills Testing)

The Blended Learning option is a great choice for completing your training with significantly less in-person class time! It is available for both renewal and initial certification, and results in the same certification ecard as a fully in-person class.

For this option, students would complete their training in three steps. First, you would purchase the Heartsaver First Aid and CPR Hybrid Course here. If you need First Aid only, you would select the Heartsaver First Aid Only Hybrid Course. If you need CPR/AED only, you would select the Heartsaver CPR Only Hybrid Course. You will be emailed your online course and skills test information within 72 hours of placing your order. If you do not receive an email within 72 hours, please contact us.

The second step is to complete the informational portion of your training online. You will be emailed a link to your online class and instructions for getting started. The Heartsaver First Aid and CPR online course uses video, audio, and interactive activities and is PC and MAC compatible. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Note, you will need to use a laptop or desktop computer to complete this portion of the course. The online course time varies student to student, but takes about 2 hrs on average to complete.

The final step is to complete your skills testing session. Please note that skills testing for students in your area will be completed virtually, due to COVID-19. You will need to pick up the necessary course equipment at our Yucaipa location (an appointment to do so can be scheduled around your availability). Equipment comes in one bag that is easy to transfer, and the pick-up process is quick and easy. Your skills session will be completed with the equipment via Facetime or Skype with an instructor. Your online course must be completed prior to completing your skills test. Upon purchase of a hybrid class, you will be emailed skills testing details and we will assist you in scheduling a skills testing appointment. We have a variety of appointments available, please contact us for details. Skills testing can also be scheduled around your availability.
