Life First Training Center offers a wide range of classes for children. These classes can be brought to your school or location and would be a great option for schools, scout troops, parent groups, and more! CPR for Kids/Schools (Recommended for grades 5th-12th)


CPR for Kids/Schools is an age appropriate course that teaches CPR for all ages, relief of choking and how to use an AED. Training is age appropriate and engaging.
Why choose LFTC for CPR for Kids/Schools
Life First Training Center is the leader in children’s safety training in California. LFTC has taught thousands of children CPR. Some of these children have actually used their training in real life situations. Our CPR for Kids/Schools program meets the CPR in Schools CA Law AB-1719 requirements and is great for schools, scout groups, homeschool groups, and more.
Training is offered with two options. Course content is the same for both options.
Course length for both options is 1.5-2 hours.
Option 1: Students will receive a participation certificate upon successful completion of this option. Course cost: $22 per student with a minimum of 20 paid participants (smaller groups welcome, but must pay for 20 participants). Travel fees may be applicable.
Option 2: Students will receive an American Heart Association certifciation card upon successful completion. Course cost: $27 per student with a minimum of 20 paid participants (smaller groups welcome, but must pay for 20 participants). Travel fees may be applicable.

Child Abuse and Abduction Prevention (Recommended for grades 1st-5th)
Children will learn life saving information on the topics of abuse and abduction prevention, including stranger danger, being aware of "groomers" and the importance of saying no to uncomfortable and/or inappropriate situations, techniques for preventing and escaping dangerous situations and much more. Course content is age appropriate and kid friendly. Parents and teachers are free to stay and observe if preferred.
Course Length: 1.5 hours
Course Cost: $19 per student with a minimum of 20 paid participants (smaller groups welcome, but must pay for 20 participants). Travel fees may be applicable.

Babysitter Complete (Recommended for grades 4th-12th)
The Babysitter Complete Course was designed for anyone interested in caring for young children. In this course participants will learn CPR/AED/choking, Pediatric First Aid, dealing with emergencies, indoor and outdoor child safety, basic child development, dealing with behavior issues, and skills for entertaining young children. Students will also learn tips to help find babysitting jobs. Students will receive a babysitter training certificate and a Pediatric First Aid with CPR/AED course completion card.
This is one of our longer youth courses, and also one of our most popular because it covers such a wide variety of information. Students complete the same Pediatric First Aid with CPR/AED training required for all childcare providers in the state of California. This course is EMSA approved for childcare providers and is extremely thorough.
Course Length: 7 hours
Course Cost: $125 per student with a minimum of 10 paid participants (smaller groups welcome, but must pay for 10 participants). Travel fees may be applicable.

Healthy Kids for Life (Recommended for grades 1st-6th)
Life First Training Center has made educating children on the importance of making healthy choices a top priority. We accomplish this through comprehensive training presented in an engaging and child appropriate manner. The Healthy Kids for Life program uses a variety of learning techniques, including instructor-led presentation, video instruction, interactive instruction and games. As an American Heart Association training center, we put a strong emphasis on heart health into our training. We will not only teach children about the importance of making healthy choices, but we also educate them on how the choices they make can impact them for the rest of their lives. We teach the "Big Picture."
Course Length: 1.5 hours
Course Cost: $19 per student with a minimum of 20 paid participants (smaller groups welcome, but must pay for 20 participants). Travel fees may be applicable.

The Children's Safety Club (Recommended for grades K-5th)
Children will learn about several different areas of Child Safety, including 911 and The Emergency System, Fire Safety, and Indoor and Outdoor Safety. Course content is age appropriate and kid friendly. Children will have fun while learning valuable safety lessons. The program was designed with the help of early childhood education professionals, pediatric healthcare professionals, and other child advocates.
Course Length: 2 hours
Course Cost: $20 per student with a minimum of 20 paid participants (smaller groups welcome, but must pay for 20 participants). Travel fees may be applicable.

Bullying and Character Education (Recommended for grades 1st-6th)
This program gently encourages children to realize that their words and behavior are potent and have the power to make others feel happy or hurt. Students will also learn simple, easy-to-understand techniques to help them deal with bullies, develop refusal skills, and become more assertive.
Course Length: 1.5 hours

The Kids Emergency Response Training Program (Recommended for grades 5th-12th)
The KERT Program (Kids Emergency Response Training) is a course designed to prepare children in 5th-12th grades on how to respond to emergency situations. Participants will learn basic first aid with CPR/AED for all ages, as well as additional advanced skills for first responders. This is a great pre-course for those interested in working in EMS. Students will receive American Heart Association Basic First Aid with CPR/AED cards upon successful completion.
Course Length: 4.5-5 hours
Course Cost: $29 per student with a minimum of 20 paid participants (smaller groups welcome, but must pay for 20 participants). Travel fees may be applicable.

Steering Clear of Drugs (Recommended for grades 5th-12th)
Students are educated to the dangers of street drugs, medicines, addiction and your brain and learn the importance of saying no. This course offers targeted, age-appropriate drug education that is essential to safeguarding students against the hazards of drug use.
Course Length: 1.5 hours
Course Cost: $19 per student with a minimum of 20 paid participants (smaller groups welcome, but must pay for 20 participants). Travel fees may be applicable.

First Aid for Kids (Recommended for grades 4th-12th)
This First Aid training course is designed specifically for children. Course content is fun and age appropriate. Children will learn the importance of staying calm and calling 911 in emergency situations. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about specific emergencies and practice with First Aid equipment. Examples of topics covered include bleeding control and bandaging, allergic reactions, choking and breathing emergencies, fainting, head/neck/spine injuries, and more.
Training is offered with two options. Course content is the same for both options.
Course length for both options is 1.5-2 hours.

Teddy Bear First Aid (Recommended for grades Kindergarden-4th)
Children are invited to attend this fun and informative introduction to First Aid. Participants will learn a variety of age appropriate basic First Aid techniques and the importance of staying calm and calling 911. Children can bring their favorite stuffed animal to practice on.
Course Length: 1.5-2 hours
