EMT Prep is a pre-Emergency Medical Technician course designed to better prepare students who plan on taking an EMT certification program in the future or are considering an EMT career and want to learn more of what it would entail. This course is also recommended for individuals currently enrolled in an EMT training program that wish to supplement their training in order to receive extra training and support to better prepare them for EMT training/testing. EMT training programs can be very fast paced and difficult. For this reason many students will struggle to learn all the necessary skills and knowledge required to pass EMT testing. In fact, many students do not pass EMT training programs. Our EMT Prep course will give students the knowledge and skills to better prepare themselves for an EMT training program and greatly increase their chances of successful completion of a future EMT program.
 
The course will include training in such areas as, diagnostics, patient assessment, airway management and basic life support, automated external defibrillation, trauma emergencies and assessment, bleeding control and bandaging, Narcan administration, basic pharmacology, personal safety, radio communications, childbirth, pediatric emergencies, medical emergencies and assessment and much more. This course will also include American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) CPR training certification which is a pre-requisite for EMT training. Upon successful course completion, students will receive an AHA BLS certification card, an AHA Heartsaver First Aid certification card and an EMT Preparation Course certificate. All course materials are included in the cost of the course. Ages 15 through adult.
